Dr. S.M. Amin Fatimie inaugurates Results Conference of MoPH for the achievements, challenges and opportunities in 2007-2008 |
He put health and nutrition status of Afghans in perspective and very much linked it with overall development in Afghanistan. He said that health is cause and consequence of development and Afghanistan with the support of international community should invest more and put much more efforts in health care service delivery in Afghanistan. He also talked about the opportunities and challenges ahead of the participants and advised them how to tackle them in 2009.
In the conference 100 senior technical persons from MoPH different programmes, donor communities, UN agencies, NGOs and health directors of some provinces are participating. The main objectives of this conference are to share the results gained in 2007 and 2008, to share technical information and to produce a list of challenges, opportunities and recommendations for the upcoming Health Planning Retreat
