A senior delegation from Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health visited India and held separate meetings with leading multinational companies in Ayurveda and traditional medicine.

The talks focused on opportunities for bilateral cooperation in medicine supply, investment, and the health sector.

Indian companies promised to provide Afghanistan with quality-assured Ayurvedic and traditional medicines at affordable prices to support safe and effective healthcare.

They also showed interest in building healthcare centres in Afghanistan and expanding medical services, calling the ministry’s efforts a key step in strengthening the health system and improving access to medicines.

The meetings are seen as a positive and significant move towards closer Afghanistan–India cooperation in Ayurveda and traditional medicine.
