Job Summary:

ICU Supervisor is responsible to oversee overall ICU activities include but not limited to ensure that appropriates and quality ICU services are provided. The incumbent will have regular visits to provinces and ensure the related policies and procedures are carried out during service delivery. The ICU Supervisor will report to the ICU Project Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly and annual supervision plan to conduct regular supervisory visit from all ICUs related to the project over the country.
  • Follow up on all advices, mentioned in the feedback for improvement of ICU services.
  • Facilitate Coordination of ICU matters with hospital management and PHD; and ensure appropriate support is available.
  • Ensure that all ICU related document including procedures, protocols, rules and regulations are placed and oriented to the staff.
  • Ensure that all procedures, protocols, rules and regulations are implemented properly.
  • Ensure that proper filing system is available in the ICUs.
  • Ensure that patient’s files are completed, correct and properly stored and patients receive correct treatment and managed properly.
  • Develop and implement an effective administration system in the ICUs.
  • Conduct training needs assessment of all ICU staff and conduct on the job training.
  • Ensure that an appropriate inventory system is developed and the inventory list is regularly updated
  • Ensure proper recording of medicines and consumable’s supply, consumption and management.
  • Provide regular feedback of supervision to the related authorities.
  • Participate in annual planning process.
  • Provide and timely submit monthly, quarterly and annual activities reports to the line manager.  
  • Perform other related tasks assigned by line manager.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Be Afghan national(Female)
  • Medical Degree from a recognized university; (should be attested by MoPH or MoHE).
  • Specialization Degree attested by MoPH or MoHE).
  • One year experience in the field of health management.
  • Good computer skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skill; team building ability and team player.
  • Very good knowledge of Pashto, Dari and English Language (written and spoken).
