Call for Abstracts

The Ministry of Public Health Afghanistan is pleased to announce it is eight Health Results Conference with the main them of Evidence Based Planning/ Promotion Evidence Generation. The objective of the conference is to provide the health sector decision makers evidence from research, Evaluation, Assessment, survey, monitoring, HMIS surveillance and other sources of information to identify emerging health issues and advocate for policy and programmatic change.

The conference sub theme  are as follow:

  • Governance
  • Institutional development
  • Public health
  • Health services
  • Human resource for health
  • M&E, Health Information, Learning, and Knowledge/Evidence-based Practices


Call for abstract Submission

The Health Results Conference Committee welcomes your abstract submission for oral and poster presentations. The submission period is from 1st to 31st January 2019. All abstract submissions should use the abstract template format and be submitted via:

Key Dates:

  • Abstracts proposal due: January 31st, 2019
  • Abstracts acceptance Notification: March 1st, 2019

Key submission guides:

  • The Abstracts can be submitted for oral and poster presentations, kindly specify whether you are submitting your abstract for oral or poster presentation
  • The abstract submitted should be original and not previously presented any national conferences
  • No changes in the abstract contents and the authorship will be allowed after the final submission. If you wish to withdraw your abstract after final date you must inform the Monitoring_ Evaluation and Health information system General Directorate of MoPH through e-mail only (
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English only
  • Use "Times Roman"12 font size and single line spacing for the abstract text.
  • Please check the spelling and grammar carefully
  • Abstracts must not exceed more than 350 words, excluding title, authors, affiliations, spaces, title notes, and footnotes
  • Abstracts will be published in the Abstract Book and the oral presenters will be awarded
