Three-Day Capacity-Building Workshop for Community Health Workers Held in Kabul Province

The Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases held a three-day workshop to enhance the capacity of community health workers (CHWs) in Surobi, Char Asiab, Qarabagh, and Hood Khil districts of Kabul province.

The workshop trained 55 health workers in prevention, primary diagnosis, patient referral, and non-communicable disease management.

Dr. Mohammad Sami Karimi, Head of the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases, stressed that community health workers play a vital role in disease prevention and urged participants to share their knowledge with colleagues.

The workshop, held in an interactive setting with effective educational content, received full satisfaction from the participants.
