Objective:
Conducting MDR-TB care activities; diagnosis, treatment, follow up, prevention, consultation, health education and proper recording and reporting
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organizing MDR-TB care in MDR-TB ward close collaboration with relevant medical doctor
- Working as a good and cooperative team member in MDR-TB ward staff
- Conducting diagnosis, treatment, prevention and consultation for MDR-TB patients according to medical doctor advice
- Night duty based on schedule
- Following up investigation of MDR-TB patients during treatment
- Conducting visit and consultation of TB patients in their home, particularly for starting treatment close collaboration with medical doctor
- Providing health education, awareness, disease, treatment, side effects, prevention and regular/uninterrupted of medication
- Conducting medication for any 2nd line drugs side effects according to the medical doctor advice
- Management of stocking, rational use and procuring of TB 2nd line drugs
- Recording and reporting MDR-TB data according to the program need
- Provision of regular report to when needed to PTC
- Carrying out any tasks as may be assigned by NTP line manager
Qualification and required experience:
- Graduate from a paramedical faculty, having nurse degree is must
- Having experience on TB control activities or communicable diseases control
- Having record writing skills
- Having primary level of Computer knowledge
