20th Leadership Board Meeting of the Ministry of Public Health Held

The 20th leadership board meeting of the Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan was held under the chairmanship of Minister of Public Health Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, with deputy ministers and senior officials in attendance. During the meeting, official briefings were presented by Deputy Minister for Health Services Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani on his visit to Türkiye, and by Deputy Minister for Food and Drugs Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid on his visits to India and the United Arab Emirates, focusing on objectives, outcomes, and cooperation.

In another development, the Director of the Medical Council, Dr. Faqir Mohammad Ziyar, reported on the assessment and licensing of foreign doctors. Meanwhile, Human Resources Director General Irfanullah Karimi outlined updates on staff recruitment, contingency measures, and vacant posts for the year 1404.

Addressing the meeting, the Minister of Public Health stressed the need for effective implementation, calling for transparency, accuracy, and timely execution of all decisions.

The meeting concluded with deputy ministers and central directors sharing recommendations and reaffirming their commitment to implement the resolutions aimed at improving overall performance.
