Job Summary:

The candidate for Executive Secretary will hold at least a baccalaureate degree in project management and business administration. The candidate will bring executive support and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of the healthcare system and regulatory environment in Afghanistan;
  • Assist the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in developing, implementing, and monitoring both strategic and operational policies and plans;
  • Assist the CEO to provide strategic direction in all aspects of project implementation for the accreditation projects;
  • Assist the CEO to provide strategic guidance in unifying approaches between programs and healthcare facilities in different geographical areas;
  • Assist the CEO to organize periodic and ad hoc meetings in order to discuss program progress; record and follow up on the execution of agreed action points;
  • Assist the CEO to develop and review technical proposals, Scope of Works (SOW), Business and project documents, and technical tools by gathering information from experts and related departments;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with the Directors of Accreditation Organizations, the Government of Afghanistan and Ministry of Public Health, healthcare organizational leaders and professionals, the media, and the public;
  • Conduct correspondences between CEO and other Directors of the Accreditation Organization, Ministry of Public Health, healthcare organizational leaders and professionals, the media, and the public;
  • Provide secretary services to CEO;
  • Assist the CEO to share guidelines, policies, plans, strategies and leadership directives with relevant units for implementation;
  • Organize the CEO’s diary, visits and develop minutes of meetings and public events;
  • Organize portfolio of the CEO for meetings with relevant stakeholders;
  • Assist in developing analytical, monthly, quarterly, annually and based on needs reports to CEO and to BoD members of the Accreditation Organization;
  • Any other tasks assigned by the CEO based on the laws, regulations and the Accreditation Organization objectives.

Qualifications Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree 
  • 2 years experience 
  • Skills and knowledge to effectively work with various computer programs, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software (e.g. Power Point), and database programs; 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; and 
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
