Four-Day Workshop Launched to Strengthen Bacteriology Diagnostics and Antimicrobial Resistance Detection

A four-day workshop aimed at enhancing laboratory diagnostic skills in bacteriology and the detection of antimicrobial resistance has officially begun.
The workshop, aimed at enhancing diagnostic capabilities in bacteriology and establishing a standardized infrastructure for detecting antimicrobial resistance at the country’s laboratory level, was attended by 30 laboratory staff from 28 provinces.
Dr. Awal Khan Shafaq, Acting Director of Diagnostic Services at the Ministry of Public Health, stated during the program: “This workshop aims to familiarize participants with new methods, ensure accurate diagnoses, and implement standard laboratory procedures. It is expected to play an effective role in enhancing skills, improving service quality, and fostering collaboration.
During the workshop’s opening, Dr. Masoud Dilsoz, Director of the Central Laboratories at the Ministry of Public Health, highlighted the importance of laboratories and stressed that the topics taught should be applied practically and used correctly in laboratory work.
