A regulatory inspection was conducted in Alingar district of Laghman province, with food retailers and the private healthcare sector being its primary focus.

Led by the supervisory team of the Laghman Directorate of Public Health, this oversight operation culminated in the seizure of a substantial quantity of expired food products and pharmaceuticals, subsequently transferred to the Directorate’s warehouse for systematic disposal.

So severe were the violations of public health regulations that a medical clinic, a laboratory, and a pharmacy were forcibly shut down.
