Minister of Public Health Inaugurates GeneXpert TB Diagnostic Unit at Kunar Provincial Hospital
The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, has inaugurated GeneXpert services at the Kunar Provincial Hospital to improve the accurate diagnosis of tuberculosis.
H.E. Jalali met with patients and staff, and instructed officials to ensure better and more efficient service provision.
He said the ministry aims to expand health services in all areas where people are in need, and continues to work through various channels to improve access and coverage.
The new diagnostic unit was established at a cost of nearly 72,000 USD.
