In a significant boost to emergency healthcare services, the Ministry of Public Health has officially handed over two brand-new ambulances—valued at AFN 7.6 million—to the Kunar Provincial Health Directorate.

The zero-kilometer ambulances, designated for the Departments of Forensic Medicine and Emergency Medical Services, aim to enhance the province’s capacity to respond effectively to urgent medical situations. The vehicles are expected to play a pivotal role in frontline emergency care, particularly in remote or underserved areas.

During the official handover, Qari Muzaffar Khan Mukhlis, Director of Public Health for Kunar, extended his sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Public Health for its targeted investment in the province’s healthcare system. He also urged relevant officials to take proactive measures to ensure the long-term maintenance and optimal use of the new vehicles.
