Officials from the Paktia Provincial Public Health Directorate monitored the private health sector and wholesale and retail food stores in Gardez, Zurmat, and Rohani Baba districts. As a result, 4 outpatient clinics, 18 health centers, 9 dental clinics, 6 laboratories, and 1 X-ray room were closed for lacking legal licenses and violating health regulations.

During the monitoring, 15 expired medicines and 82 food items (about 2 tons) were collected and sent to the central warehouse for disposal.
