Farah, Afghanistan – In a decisive move to safeguard public health, Mawlawi Sheikh Mir Sadam, the Director of Public Health in Farah, confirmed the destruction of 70 tons of expired and substandard food and medicine. This action followed a comprehensive six-month inspection by the Food and Pharmaceutical Department of the Public Health Directorate. Of the total, 30 tons were pharmaceutical products, while 40 tons comprised food and non-food items. The materials were systematically removed and incinerated, underscoring the province’s commitment to enforcing stringent health and safety standards.
