Badghis Provincial Hospital Delivers Thousands of Free Surgeries and Health Services in a Year

Last year, the Ministry of Public Health, having prioritized accessible healthcare, successfully carried out approximately 6,932 surgical operations free of charge at Badghis Provincial Hospital.
Among these procedures, while the majority—5,966 operations—were minor surgeries, a substantial number, precisely 966, constituted major surgeries, all of which were expertly executed by highly skilled Afghan specialist doctors without any cost to the patients.
Furthermore, the hospital extended comprehensive outpatient (OPD) services to as many as 191,833 individuals, alongside inpatient (IPD) care to 20,605 patients, ensuring that these essential health services were provided entirely free of charge.
