Department of Essential Hospital Services officially commences its operations following a formal meeting
Under the auspices of the General Directorate of Therapeutic Medicine within the Ministry of Public Health, the Department of Essential Hospital Services has officially commenced its operations following a formal meeting.
This department, led by Dr. Abdullah Islampal, comprises seven staff members who will undertake their respective responsibilities in providing technical support to hospitals at the provincial, regional, and district levels.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister for Health Services, Mawlawi Abdulwali Haqqani, the General Director of Therapeutic Medicine, Dr. Ahmad Siyar Pasoon, central directors, and representatives from various organizations.
In his address, Mawlawi Abdulwali Haqqani, Deputy Minister for Health Services, underscored the critical importance of establishing this department to enhance healthcare services. He stated, "We are committed to achieving further advancements in the healthcare sector to effectively address the health issues of our needy citizens."
Moreover, the deputy minister for Health Services exhorted the responsible officials to diligently execute their duties and to intensify efforts to strengthen the nation's healthcare system.
Furthermore, Dr. Ahmad Siyar Pasoon, General Director of Therapeutic Medicine, Dr. Zahidullah Rasooli, Senior Advisor to the Deputy Ministry of Health Development and Policy, and Dr. Abdullah Islampal, Head of Essential Hospital Services, elucidated the goals and activities of the newly established department to the attendees.
