Deputy Minister of Health Policy and Development engages in productive discussions with Director of the UNICEF office for Afghanistan

Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghiassy, the esteemed Deputy Minister of Health Policy and Development at the Ministry of Public Health, engaged in productive discussions with Mr. Tajuddin Awaila, the Director of the UNICEF office for Afghanistan, during his visit to Nangarhar province. Mr. Awaila provided updates on the ongoing collaboration of his office in the eastern region and Nangarhar, as well as forthcoming initiatives aimed at the prevention and elimination of polio.

 

Furthermore, Dr. Ghiassy addressed the health sector challenges specific to the province, discussing them with the UNICEF Director and suggesting viable solutions. Mr. Awaila, on his part, emphasized UNICEF's sustained commitment to the health sector and confirmed his department's continued support and collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health.
