Post title:                                            Liaison Officer

Post objective:                                 To maintain the communication with provincial public health directorates and NGO implementers in 34 provinces of Afghanistan                                     

Location:                                             Emergency/COVID-19 Directorate, MoPH

Duties:                

  • Provide operational plan in line with COVID-19 directorate’s strategic plan
  • Coordinate any COVID-19 related issues with NGOs and PPHD in 34 provinces
  • Share the rules, guidelines, SOPs or other national documents with PPHD and NGOs in 34 provinces
  • Active participation in following up of reports and activities of provincial health committees
  • Coordinate and participate in COVID-19 meetings within directorate
  • Facilitate the communication and report any miscommunication or problem in this regards
  • Direct report to Senior Technical Advisor/ Director about all related activities
  • Any other task assigned by his/her supervisor

Profile

Background/training:     Bachelor degree in social science or any related field

Experience:                        4 years’ experience in the related field, having experience in similar position related to COVID-19 pandemic is preferred

Management skills:        ability to direct, guide and supervise a diverse group of people and to

                                                Coordinate activities of different health players
