Minister of Public Health addresses the International Traditional Medicine Conference during his official visit to China

The Minister of Public Health, Honorable Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, addressed the International Traditional Medicine Conference during his official visit to China.

The conference, focused on sharing experiences and achievements in traditional medicine, was graced by health ministers, deputies, researchers, and representatives from various organisations.

In his speech, His Excellency Jalali highlighted the need for collaboration between international health organizations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organizations to advance traditional medicine. He emphasized that “Traditional medicine in Afghanistan must be standardized and integrated into modern healthcare practices, with a curriculum for its practitioners.”

The Minister also advocated for strengthened bilateral cooperation between China and Afghanistan to enhance capacity building, experience sharing, and joint research.

Notably, the Ministry of Public Health has established a Traditional Medicine Department, currently working on policies and guidelines to regulate and improve the sector.
