Minister of Public Health Meets Turkish Ambassador to Discuss Strengthening Healthcare Cooperation
His Excellency, the Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, met with Mr. Cenk Unal, the Turkish Ambassador to Afghanistan, at the Ministry’s office for a productive discussion.
The meeting focused on several key areas, including Turkey’s support for Afghan healthcare institutions, efforts to enhance the skills of Afghan healthcare professionals, and the importation of high-quality medicines in collaboration with the private sector. They also addressed visa issuance for emergency medical cases, maternal and child health initiatives, the review and implementation of past healthcare agreements, and the strengthening of bilateral cooperation in the healthcare field.
His Excellency Jalali emphasized the importance of continued cooperation with Turkey to improve healthcare services in Afghanistan. He expressed gratitude for Turkey’s past support and requested further assistance to advance healthcare standards.
Mr. Unal reiterated Turkey’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Afghanistan in healthcare, stressing the shared goal of improving the health and well-being of the Afghan people.
