In a joint effort to fight drug abuse and raise public awareness, the Ministry of Public Health, in collaboration with the Counter Narcotics Directorate, organized a bicycle race filled with energy, purpose, and community spirit.

The event, launched in partnership with the Cycling Federation, aimed not just to promote physical fitness but to inspire young people to stay active and connected through sports — offering them a healthy, positive path away from the dangers of drug use.

This initiative is part of the Ministry’s broader commitment to protecting youth and communities from addiction. Together with its partner institutions, the Ministry has been carrying out public awareness programs across the country. Just last year, thousands of Afghans — especially the youth — received life-saving information about the risks and long-term consequences of narcotics.
