Second Inter-Ministerial Coordination Meeting on Preventing the Smuggling of Medicines, Food Items, and Health Products Held

In order to implement the Law on Preventing the Smuggling of Medicines, Food Items, and Health Products, the second coordination meeting of the inter-ministerial committee was held.

The meeting was chaired by the Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali; with the participation of the deputy minister for Food and Drugs, Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid; along with deputies and directors from various Islamic Emirate bodies.

In his remarks, the Minister of Public Health said: “The Law on Preventing the Smuggling of Medicines, Food Items, and Health Products, which was ratified by the Esteemed Amir-ul-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him), is serious, essential, and of great importance. We call on all relevant institutions to take practical and decisive measures for its full implementation.”

Similarly, the Deputy Minister for Food and Drugs, Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid, stated: “We have prepared an operational plan for the implementation of this law and have clearly outlined the responsibilities of each institution under its framework. We call on all partner bodies to fully cooperate with our department in carrying out the upcoming measures.”
