Through the Authority of Central Laboratories affiliated with the Directorate of Diagnostics of the Ministry of Public Health, with financial cooperation from the World Health Organization, organized a training program to upgrade the capacity of 32 medical technologists from 28 provincial and central laboratories.

The program was titled "Training Workshop on Molecular testing of Blood-borne Viral Infectious diseases (HBV, HCV & HIV) using RT-PCR/ELISA and introduction to basic Microbiology/"AMR"".

The objective of this training program was to provide both practical and theoretical instruction to the participants on the standard diagnosis of various viral and bacterial diseases using ELISA and PCR methods.

It is noteworthy that these types of training programs in this field are expected to continue in the future, as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the diagnostic capabilities of provincial and central laboratories across the country.
