The Minister of Public Health travels to Switzerland

The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, accompanied by an official delegation, embarked on a visit to Switzerland to engage in high-level discussions concerning advancements and reforms in the health sector, as well as to enhance coordination with international organizations.

During this visit, the Minister held substantive discussions with the Director-General of the World Health Organization, Dr. Tedros, and his accompanying delegation. Furthermore, he actively participated in various international forums and engaged in in-depth deliberations with the heads of cooperating organizations on critical issues, including the control of infectious diseases in Afghanistan, the eradication of polio, and the enhancement, transparency, and standardization of health services.

The officials from international organizations reiterated their commitment to sustained collaboration in the health sector and pledged additional support. The Ministry of Public Health remains steadfast in its dedication to providing standardized and equitable health services to all citizens. In pursuit of this objective, and in addition to its internal budget, the Ministry has intensified efforts to elevate the standards of health services to an international level.
