Over the past six months, 32 tons of expired and substandard pharmaceuticals and foodstuffs, confiscated by the Helmand Public Health Directorate, were incinerated.

Sardar Mohammad Qasid, Head of the Food and Drugs Department at the Helmand Public Health Directorate, stated that these items were seized during inspections and searches conducted by the Directorate's Head of Department Office across various areas of Lashkargah City. The burning of these items was carried out in the presence of a designated committee.

He ultimately urged sellers and shopkeepers to refrain from selling or purchasing expired and substandard products.
