Bid Opening Held for the Construction of a General Hospital in Shah Wali Kot District of Kandahar Province

The  process was conducted in the presence of the Director of Mobile Health Teams of the Ministry of Public Health, Dr Zahir Mohammad Mangal; along with representatives from the Finance and Accounting, Procurement, and Planning & Policy Directorates, as well as delegates from 15 construction companies.

Dr Zahir Mohammad Mangal stated, “This process is fully transparent, and we expect the company that takes over the project to carry out their work promptly, in line with the guidelines and conditions set by MoPH. As this is a public project, we will closely monitor every step of its implementation.”

The construction company representatives pledged that, if they take over the project, they would adhere to the guidelines and conditions of the Ministry of Public Health while carrying out the work.

It is important to highlight that the Ministry of Public Health is undertaking an extensive nationwide initiative to establish general hospitals across all 318 districts, with the procurement processes for this large-scale project actively progressing.
