The meeting saw the participation of Mawlawi Abdulwali Haqqani, the Deputy Minister for Health Services at the Ministry of Public Health, along with central directors from the Ministry, as well as delegates from the World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF, UNHCR, IOM, and UNFPA.

In his remarks, Mr. Haqqani underscored the urgent need for enhanced collaboration between these organizations and the Ministry in tackling the pressing healthcare challenges faced by returnees. He called for a unified approach to ensure that both immediate and long-term healthcare services are made available, with particular focus on the provinces where refugees are settling.

Furthermore, representatives from WHO, UNICEF, UNHCR, IOM, and UNFPA expressed their unwavering commitment to working in concert with the Ministry. They pledged to provide comprehensive healthcare support, including maternal and child health services, to address the critical needs of the returnee population.
