A new physiotherapy department dedicated to female patients has officially opened at Nangarhar Regional Hospital

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Nangarhar’s Deputy Governor, Mawlawi Azizullah Mustafa; Director of Public Health, Mawlawi Aminullah Sharif; Director of Economy, Mawlawi Ataurrahman Fateh, the Head of the Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC) in the East, Dr Aminullah Hikmat, along with several other local officials.

The department was established with financial support from the Norwegian Afghanistan Committee (NAC). It has now been handed over for public use and will provide comprehensive physiotherapy services to female patients. The unit is staffed by ten professional female physiotherapists and four support personnel.
