Health Minister Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali Enhances Healthcare Collaboration with China During Official Visit

His Excellency Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, participated in a high-profile meeting with the Deputy Director of Communicable Disease Control and Prevention during his official trip to China.

This significant exchange of views focused on a range of critical issues, including the prevention and control of diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis, polio, and other contagious diseases. In addition, the dialogue addressed the implementation of timely responses to natural disasters, the enhancement of public health system management, the strengthening of disease surveillance frameworks, and the capacity building of staff within Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health. Particular emphasis was also placed on fostering increased collaboration in the health sector to tackle shared challenges effectively.

Moreover, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali undertook formal visits to China’s Centers for Contagious Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Influenza Center, aiming to gain valuable insights and promote mutual cooperation in addressing pressing global health concerns.
