Leadership Meeting Advances Reforms, Market Regulation, and Local Production in Food and Drug Sector
A leadership meeting of the Food and Drugs Deputy Minister's Office was held to push forward reforms, manage the market, and boost local production.
The meeting took place with the Administrative Council, senior leaders, department heads, and advisors. It focused on improving the performance of the country’s food and drug sector, looking at key issues, and making important decisions.
During the meeting, a report on last year’s activities (1404 Solar Hijri) was shared. Participants also discussed digitalizing work processes and checking the performance of different departments. Special attention was given to following leadership instructions, using proper administrative terms instead of foreign words, and improving overall systems.
The meeting also looked at problems with medicine imports, especially Pakistani medicines that are stuck at the border. Discussions focused on making imports easier, stopping hoarding, and controlling prices in the market.
In the production area, the meeting highlighted support for local food and drug manufacturing. Topics included making rules for production facilities, setting safe distances between factories, solving company problems, and providing land for industrial parks. Support for investment in production was also discussed.
The meeting further focused on upgrading laboratory capacity, buying modern equipment for quality testing, and improving control systems to ensure safe and high-quality products.
In the end, the leadership stressed better coordination between departments, faster implementation of decisions, and providing safe, high-quality food and medicines to the public. Officials were given clear guidance to take action and follow up on tasks.
