The private health sector in Samkani district of Paktia province, along with several salt packaging factories, was recently inspected

The inspections, led by the Food and Drug Inspection Teams of the Paktia Provincial Public Health Directorate, covered 17 pharmacies and 9 salt packaging factories. As a result, 17 expired and substandard pharmaceutical items and 130 packs of low-quality salt were seized and subsequently transferred to the central facility for proper disposal.

Additionally, the in-charges were provided with essential guidance and technical instructions to ensure operations comply fully with Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) standards.
