Honorable Mawlawi Abdulwali Haqqani, the Deputy Minister of Health Services of the Ministry of Public Health, conducted a review of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) operations during a meeting. At this event, Dr. Jawad Jahid, the Head of Intensive Care, along with his team, presented an overview of the department’s current functions, future plans, objectives, proposals, challenges, and potential solutions to the ministry’s leadership. They also appealed for the ministry's leadership to address these challenges.

In response, Honorable Mawlawi Abdulwali Haqqani, Deputy Minister of Health Services, acknowledged the Authority's operations and committed to implementing necessary actions to address the challenges faced by the Authority of Intensive Care.

It is important to note that the Authority of ICU is currently functional in hospitals across the provinces of Herat, Kabul, Nangarhar, Kunduz, and Paktia.

Plans are underway to expand these critical care services to hospitals in Kandahar, Balkh, Logar, and other provinces within the current year
