Drug Use Prevention Awareness Program Conducted for Amani High School Students
The drug use prevention team of the 450-bed Jangalak Addiction Rehabilitation Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Public Health's National Drug Treatment Program, conducted an awareness program for students of Amani High School on the prevention of drug use.
During the program, Dr. Hafeez Haqdad, a social worker of the 450-bed Jangalak Addiction Rehabilitation Center, provided comprehensive information on the harmful effects and consequences of drug use. He discussed the issue from health, social, cultural, and psychological perspectives and highlighted the adverse impacts that drug use can have on individuals, families, and society.
He also emphasized the importance of raising public awareness, choosing positive companions, reinforcing religious and cultural values, and preventing drug use.
At the conclusion of the program, students asked questions, which were answered by the program officials and presenters in a comprehensive and satisfactory manner.
