Helmand Public Health Department Opens Six Maternal and Child Health Centers in Sangin and Kajaki Districts

Helmand, Afghanistan – In a significant development for maternal and child healthcare, the Helmand Public Health Directorate has officially inaugurated six new health centers in the Sangin and Kajaki districts. These centers, built at a cost of 36 million Afghanis, are set to provide essential health services for mothers and children in these areas.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Director of Public Health for Helmand, Mullah Fazli Ahmad Shafiullah, and his team. Speaking at the event, Director Shafiullah highlighted that these health centers have been constructed to high standards and are equipped to deliver quality healthcare services. He emphasized that the centers will play a pivotal role in improving maternal and child health in the region by providing necessary medical care and support.
