The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, chaired a pivotal meeting with public health directors from all 34 provinces in the ministry’s conference chamber. The session focused on improving healthcare quality and streamlining service provision by evaluating the performance of implementing agencies.

Held after a two-day workshop, the meeting gathered key officials, including Deputy Minister for Food and Drugs, Mawlawi Hamdullah Zahid; Chief of the Staff, Sheikh Mohammad Tahir Haleem; and several central directors. It aimed to galvanize provincial leadership around a shared vision of improved healthcare.

Minister Jalali stressed the need for top-tier medical care, urging provincial directors to maintain food and drug quality, enforce strict monitoring of implementing partners, and align all services with national policy. He warned that neglecting these duties could open the floodgates to inefficiencies.
