Minister Noor Jalal Jalali Discusses Health Coordination and Drug Regulations with NGOs
The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, held a meeting with representatives of several international organizations
The meeting was attended by representatives of Akbar, OPM,PUAMI ,SAF, MdM, AHDS, TdH, and INTERSOS. Discussions focused on strengthening coordination, timely response to challenges, medicine import procedures and regulatory restrictions, delays in customs clearance, quality control of pharmaceuticals, transfer of projects from one province to another, and several other important issues.
Having listened to these matters, the Minister of Public Health stated that a special technical committee, led by one of the ministry’s deputy ministers, would be established to conduct a comprehensive review of these issues and take necessary actions.
Furthermore, the Director of Import and Export Regulation of Medicines and Health Products of the Ministry of Public Health, Mawlawi Abdul Basir Qanih, provided detailed information on facilitating customs procedures, domestic pharmaceutical production, existing warehouses at airports, and other key topics. He also added that the leadership of the Ministry of Public Health is working to create further facilitation in this area.
