The Minister of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, convened a meeting in his office with the British Chargé d’Affaires, Robert Dixon.

In the course of this dialogue, participants engaged in substantive discussions concerning the establishment of healthcare centers in remote regions, the enhancement of facilities for the treatment of cancer and addiction patients, and the strategic mobilization of international assistance within the healthcare sector.

Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali articulated, "The Ministry of Public Health is unwaveringly committed to augmenting facilities for the treatment of cancer and addiction patients, alongside other critical healthcare initiatives. In this context, over the past three years, we have successfully provided treatment to thousands of addiction patients and have inaugurated a specialized center designed to facilitate comprehensive care for cancer patients, thereby ensuring that solutions to their challenges are both effective and accessible."

Moreover, the Minister underscored the paramount importance of collaboration with international health organizations and formally solicited the Chargé d’Affaires' support in advancing these initiatives. In a positive response, the British Chargé d’Affaires affirmed his country’s steadfast commitment to fostering extensive cooperation in the healthcare sector, thereby reinforcing bilateral ties and collaborative efforts aimed at improving health outcomes in Afghanistan.
