Dr Enayatullah Enayat, Director General of Monitoring and Inspection of the Ministry of Public Health, held a meeting in his official office with the technical representatives of UNICEF to develop a joint supervisory checklist.

During the meeting, the Ministry of Public Health and UNICEF discussed the development of a comprehensive and standardized joint supervisory checklist and its implementation, reaching agreement on several key aspects.

It was decided that once the joint checklist is finalized and approved by the leadership, both sides will begin joint monitoring activities to strengthen oversight.

It is worth noting that previously, the Ministry of Public Health’s Directorate of Monitoring and Inspection and UNICEF conducted separate monitoring visits. However, their impact on UNICEF’s decisions and follow-up actions was limited due to the contractual relationship between UNICEF and the implementing partners.

To address this issue and strengthen oversight, the Directorate initiated the establishment of a joint monitoring mechanism.
