Ministry of Public Health Signs $145,048 Contract with DAWEO Organization to Strengthen and Expand Health Services in Paktia and Bamyan Provinces

The one-year agreement will provide primary healthcare services to residents of Paktia and Bamyan provinces through three drug rehabilitation centers in Bamyan and two healthcare centers in Paktia.

The agreement was signed to improve the quality of healthcare services, increase access, and reduce public health problems. With its implementation, 4,120 residents of Paktia Province and Bamyan Province will benefit from rehabilitation services, and employment opportunities in the health sector will also be created for 14 individuals.

Representatives of the Danner Afghanistan For Women Empowerment Organization

(DAWEO) organization also expressed confidence that the project will be implemented over the course of one year in accordance with all established standards, while prioritizing the healthcare needs of the population.
