Ministry of Public Health Signs MoU with HPRO to Strengthen HIV and Infectious Disease Response in Kabul

The Ministry of Public Health signed a six-month Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), valued at USD 6,959, with the Health Protection and Research Organization (HPRO) to conduct rapid assessment and response activities for people who inject drugs in Kabul Province in response to the HIV epidemic and other concurrent infectious diseases.

The MoU aims to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare services and help address the health needs of the local communities. Under the MoU, 600 residents of the province will receive healthcare services through two health facilities, while 23 people will be provided with employment opportunities in the health sector.

Meanwhile, representatives of HPRO also assured the Ministry that the project would be implemented in full compliance with the established standards throughout the six-month period, with particular attention given to meeting the healthcare needs of the local communities.
