MoPH Leadership Reviews Monitoring Report on Private Health Centers
A committee led by the General Directorate of the Medical Council, under the directives of the Ministry of Public Health of the IEA, presented a detailed report on the nationwide monitoring of private health centers and the status of foreign health workers working in these facilities.
The report was presented during a meeting attended by the Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, along with the ministry’s deputy ministers, advisors, and several central directors.
The Director General of the Medical Council, Dr. Faqir Mohammad Ziyar, and his team shared key findings from the past year’s monitoring. The report highlighted developments in private hospitals, identified key challenges, and reviewed opportunities, strengths and weaknesses, as well as the presence and licensing of foreign doctors.
Participants also discussed the importance of issuing proper electronic prescriptions to ensure compliance with health laws, standardize medical services, and prevent possible violations, while sharing their views on improving the system.
H.E. Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali stressed the need for strict measures to prevent violations of health laws and called for accelerated efforts to standardize prescriptions, ensure service quality and safety, and regulate medical pricing. Furthermore, under the leadership of the Deputy Minister for Health Services, Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, a joint committee was formed to oversee the implementation of health laws, ensure standardized services, and protect public health.
