MoPH Marks World Breastfeeding Week with Public Awareness Session

The Ministry of Public Health of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan held a public awareness session on the occasion of World Breastfeeding Week.
The ceremony was attended by Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, Deputy Minister of Healthcare Services for the Ministry of Public Health; Mawlawi Dost Mohammad Mukhlis, Administrative Deputy Minister for Finance; several central directors of the Ministry of Public Health; and representatives from the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the World Food Programme (WFP).
Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, Deputy Minister of Healthcare Services, delivered a comprehensive speech on the importance of breastfeeding from the perspective of the noble religion of Islam and emphasized that mothers should breastfeed their children.
