A new medical-waste incineration facility has been constructed and officially inaugurated in the Torkham border district

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Nangarhar’s Director of Public Health, Mawlawi Aminullah Sharif, welcomed the launch of the building, noting that it will enable the safe disposal of hazardous waste. He expressed his appreciation to the IRC organisation for its support in completing the project.

He also instructed relevant officials to ensure that all waste is collected, transported, and incinerated in a systematic and secure manner, and urged them to take full responsibility for the proper maintenance and oversight of the new facility.
