MoPH Conducts Capacity-Building Workshop on Noncommunicable Diseases for Healthcare Workers in Ghazni

The Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Preventive Medicine and Noncommunicable Disease Control conducted a three-day training workshop to enhance the capacity of 95 healthcare workers in Ghazni Province.

The workshop covered key topics related to the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases, early diagnosis and treatment, patient referral to hospitals, the management of patients with noncommunicable diseases, and health counselling.

Dr. Mohammad Sami Karimi, Head of the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Preventive Medicine and Noncommunicable Disease Control, said that doctors and community health workers play a vital role in the prevention and control of noncommunicable diseases, and that building their capacity is essential.

He also urged the participants to share their newly acquired knowledge with their colleagues in clinics, hospitals, and communities, thereby helping to expand training opportunities for more healthcare workers in this field.
