MoPH Signs US$180,503 MoU with AYSO to Reduce Stunting and Malnutrition in Nangarhar

The Ministry of Public Health has signed a two-year MoU worth USD 180,503 with the Afghan Youth Services Organization (AYSO) to reduce the prevalence of stunting and other forms of malnutrition in Nangarhar province.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to improve the quality of healthcare services, increase access to health services, and address public health challenges. Under the MoU, 10,500 residents of the province will benefit from healthcare services provided through 2 health centers and 23 health posts, while employment opportunities will be created for 53 individuals in the health sector.

Meanwhile, representatives of AYSO assured that the project will be implemented over the next two years in accordance with all established standards and that special attention will be given to addressing the healthcare needs of the people.
