AFDA Delegation Travels to Bangladesh to Strengthen Pharmaceutical Cooperation and Trade
A technical delegation from the Afghanistan Food and Drug Authority (AFDA) of the Ministry of Public Health, led by Hafiz Dr. Naeemullah Ayoubi, Director General of Pharmaceutical and Health Products Regulation, has departed for an official visit to Bangladesh.
The visit aims to conduct technical inspections of Bangladeshi pharmaceutical companies registered with the Ministry of Public Health’s Afghanistan Food and Drug Authority (AFDA), follow up on the memorandum of understanding with Bangladesh’s drug authority, encourage investment in pharmaceutical production in Afghanistan, and support Afghan traders with their existing import contracts. It also seeks to strengthen technical cooperation in drug manufacturing, enhance bilateral trade relations, and follow up on outcomes from the previous visit conducted three months earlier.
Additionally, the delegation will raise the challenges faced by Afghan pharmaceutical traders in Bangladesh with the relevant authorities of the host country, to help facilitate greater ease and support for their operations.
