Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghiasy Visits Hospitals and Reviews Healthcare Services in Kabul During Eid al-Adha
During the days of Eid al-Adha, Dr. Mohammad Hassan Ghiasy, Deputy Minister for Policy and Health Promotion of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health, accompanied by Dr. Sayed Rasool Mangal, Director General of Policy and Planning, visited various departments of Ali Jinnah and Isteqlal Hospitals in Kabul.
In addition to meeting with healthcare workers, the Deputy Minister visited hospitalized patients, inquired about their condition, and provided them with financial assistance.
During the visit, the Deputy Minister closely assessed emergency services, the patient care process, the availability of medicines and medical equipment, the presence of healthcare staff, and different hospital departments. He also issued necessary recommendations aimed at improving the quality of healthcare services.
Meanwhile, Dr. Sayed Rasool Mangal, Director General of Policy and Planning, emphasized the importance of ensuring continuous and well-organized healthcare services during the Eid holidays. He called on hospital officials to make greater efforts to provide better services to patients, ensure effective service delivery, and maintain workplace discipline.
Hospital officials welcomed the Ministry of Public Health delegation and briefed them on ongoing services, the number of patients, the activities of emergency departments, and existing challenges. They assured the delegation that healthcare services would continue in an organized manner throughout the Eid holidays.
It is worth mentioning that the leadership of the Ministry of Public Health has instructed health centers in both Kabul and the provinces to remain fully operational during the Eid holidays to ensure timely healthcare services and prompt response to public health needs.
