In Khost province, seven health facilities have been closed due to the use of handwritten prescriptions. Officials from the Khost Public Health Directorate’s Inspection and Monitoring Department conducted inspections in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th districts of the province, targeting several health centers and clinics. As a result of these inspections, seven clinics were shut down for violating regulations by issuing handwritten prescriptions instead of digital ones.

Health authorities also issued recommendations to the management of these centers, urging them to adhere to digital prescription requirements and follow health regulations strictly. The move aims to improve the quality of healthcare services provided to the public and ensure compliance with established medical standards.
