40 Million AFN Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Inaugurated at Khost Provincial Hospital
Mawlawi Abdul Wali Haqqani, Deputy Minister for Health Services of the Ministry of Public Health, inaugurated a new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Khost Provincial Hospital during his visit to Khost Province.
The newly inaugurated 10-bed ICU, equipped with standard medical equipment to provide quality healthcare services, was officially opened in a ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Minister stated that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is committed to providing standard healthcare services to its citizens and has further plans to strengthen the country's health sector in the future.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, which was also attended by Mahboob Shah Qanit, Deputy Governor of Khost Province, he said that serving the people is a fundamental principle of the Islamic Emirate. He added that the Islamic Emirate remains committed to implementing health and development projects not only in Khost Province but across all provinces of Afghanistan, in order to fulfill the government's responsibilities toward its citizens.
Meanwhile, Dr. Akram Mohammad Ikrama, Director of Public Health for Khost Province, stated that further improvements in healthcare services, standardization of medical care, and the construction of additional health facilities are planned for the province in the near future.
