Afghan Health Ministry Technical Team Visits Hamdard Institute in India to Boost Cooperation in Traditional Medicine

During an official visit to India, a technical team from Afghanistan’s Ministry of Public Health visited the Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (HIMSR) in New Delhi.

Hamdard officials and professors welcomed the Afghan team and briefed them on the institution’s academic, research and medical work, with both sides stressing closer cooperation in traditional medicine.

The institution’s leadership pledged joint research, quality testing of medicines through Hamdard laboratories, knowledge-sharing, and scholarships and training programmes for Afghan doctors.

Both sides said such cooperation would help strengthen public health, standardise traditional medicine and expand scientific institutions, and committed to deepening the partnership in a sustainable way
